Development Responsive Design Testing

Mattkersley Responsive Design Testing

A simple HTML page to test out your responsive web design: http://mattkersley.com/responsive

This tool is for everyone who needs a quick and easy way to test his or her website design in multiple screen widths.

This tool has been built to help with testing your responsive websites while you design and build them.

You can enter your website’s URL into the address bar at the top of this page (not your browser’s address bar) to test a specific page.

Unfortunately, with the way browser security works, you are unable to navigate your site through the frames that your website appears in. The only way this is possible is if you host the testing tool on your website’s own hosting.

You can also download and install the tool on your own site from the following Github repository.

Firefox Web Developer Toolbar

The Firefox Web Developer Toolbar is one of the most useful tools you can have for web design. To use the toolbar you have to be using the free Mozilla Firefox Browser. After you have the Firefox browser, you can download the Firefox extension called the Web Developer Toolbar.

After you install the Web Developer Toolbar, you will see the menu items across the top of the browser.

By clicking on “Responsive Design View” or ” Ctrl + Shift + M”, you will get the screen resized as below.
